The Magic of Gratitude: Expanding The Feel Good Factor

“If the only words you ever said in your whole life were thank you, that would be enough” Meister Eckhart

Hi there and G’day from sunny Australia: Byron Bay to be exact.

This morning I woke up and thought what a good idea it would be to really practice what I preach!

I wrote a blog post about that (practicing what I preach) some time ago already so this is really putting my neck on the line, isn't it? I do apply most of it, but there are so many tips and tricks to living a passionate, fulfilled life that to be honest you could do an ‘hour of power’ every hour of the day and never sleep!

I’m making a mental note to myself here to write about that one of these days in case you don’t already know how effective The Hour of Power can be if you apply it regularly. However this practice I’m going the share with you now is quintessential to living a joyful, successful life as the above quote from Meister Eckhart illustrates.

Foot Love: Exploring the Delicious Benefits of Reflexology

Reflexology is a non invasive form of treatment dating back 2500 years which incorporates the stimulation and sedation of the reflexes (found on the body) that refer or relate to the organs and systems of the body. Treatment can be applied to the reflexes located on the feet, hands, face, or head using specific movements of the thumbs and fingers of the therapist.

Charts and diagrams showing locations relevant to the organs of the body are found in many cultures and countries of the world form ancient Egypt through Asia and beyond.

In more modern times charts have been developed by people like Eunice Ingham mapping the reflexes on the hands and feet in great detail, much research has been done and continues to be done to build on the knowledge and long held beliefs of the benefits of the various forms of reflexology.

Life Lessons from a Pair of Boots

Tenacity makes up the greater part of excellence in any skill or ability. Without it, potentially brilliant and talented people run the risk of sinking into mediocrity. Just as its important to ensure tenacity and its value is both modelled and supported as children grow; it is equally important for anyone aiming for a higher standard to practice and recognise its significance in every day life.

Tenacity can be defined as the ability to be determined, persistent, resolute and in having a strong purpose.  It is a value which can be supported with embedded beliefs about commitment; particularly with keeping ones word, promises to others and commitment to a project, cause or team.

So what can we learn from a pair of boots?

Detox Secrets From The Ages - Part I

If only it was the good old days again and we lived in a pollution-free environment, where we drank only the pure water and ate natural living, untreated non-GMO foods? Where your homes were free of toxic chemicals and the air you breathe, the water which you drink & bathe in, and even the clothes you wear were clean and natural too.

Of course its not then, it’s now and times have changed dramatically. This romantic picture we can imagine was probably never the case anyway, and it most certainly is way off the mark for today unfortunately. This is why a critical thing we can do for our health right now is to regularly cleanse our bodies of toxins & acidic wastes through various methods of detoxification.

So what is detoxification? Simply put, it is the elimination of poisons or toxins from your body. Due to the huge amounts of contaminants in today’s environment, we are constantly exposed to many forms of chemicals & toxins with estimates of exposure to at least 300 plus every day.

Mastering The Elusive Work Life Play Balance

Despite what many corporate high flyers might have us believe with their hectic schedules, meetings, travel plans and personal and virtual assistants, “Life Management” means a lot more than having a carefully co-ordinated schedule and a well edited ‘to do list’.

Life Management means taking an ‘inside-out’ approach to your life - starting first with yourself, of course.

Rather than reacting to outside events, hoping circumstances or time constraints will improve, or worse still blaming the current state of affairs and expecting them or other people to change, managing your life effectively involves examining your own belief systems, your personality and your motives and shaping a set of principles or guidelines that reflect your highest values and which consistently points you in the right direction.

Romance in the Fast Lane

Its undisputed that our lives and society has changed dramatically since the days our parents dated, making their advice and experiences outdated and irrelevant.

Our modern world is governed by industry, invention and technology with most of our lives being played out either on line or in solitude.

Dating and romance has either become an interactive shopping experience or routine drudgery causing most of us to become disconnected. Its crucial therefore to plan for romance as part of a healthy lifestyle whilst juggling variety and security.

Whether you are finding love for the first time, or reigniting romance in a long term relationship, its imperative to remember that romance is about the little details and the small moments.
