Winter Survival Kit: Staying Cold & Flu-Free this Chilly Season!

Brrrrr.....In the land down under, it gets very cold at this time of year and people start dropping like flies with colds and flus. It really is the survival of the fittest! 

Yet I strongly believe there is no reason to be sick at all if you and your family are taking good care of yourself, eating well and strengthening your defences to PREVENT problems before they arise...and if they do, there is no need to run straight to the almighty doc to fix your problems and grab medication; There are much better ways to get well and YES they are all natural!

I don't know about you but in our family the norm is to be WELL and that's how it should be. For many people it is quite the opposite- it is "normal" for them to be sick (or just way too common) so if you are sick of being sick, its time to change that! 

The first vital step to staying well over the Winter or anytime of year for that matter, is to change our thinking. We need to stop believing in the fairy storys and that something happens to us.... that we "catch" a cold, that ït's just that time of year, that we were just "ünlucky" and it had nothing to do with us - that this evil bug hunted you down and attacked you and that there is nothing you can do about it....sounds pretty ludicrous when you really think about it....

Instead its time to step up and to start taking full responsibility for our health situation, for our lifestyle and the condition of our bodies.....So ask yourself this question.....Are you a breeding ground for disease just waiting to happen or will disease not even stand a chance in your body? Of course when you look at wellness from this perspective it puts the onus back in your hands and also empowers you to do something about it. Look honestly at the results you are currently getting - for better or worse - and if you don't like what you see then its time......Become aware of what you are doing over and over again with the same old results (the definition of insanity ;)) and then take positive baby steps in the right direction to turn things around. 

You will be amazed at how "lucky" you will suddenly become and how amazing you will feel!!!

Getting back to basics, following an alkaline diet and applying a few natural handy hints or nutritional tools can also go a long way towards staying strong and breathing easy...
